Hello Manila! The welcoming yet eye-rolling music of the 2001 hit Stupid Love woke me up to the beautiful street of a million street lights. I can only stare in wondering awe and contemplate why things seem different. As I child, going to Manila used to excite me so much that staring at the same bright lights painted a luminescent glow in my face, creating an electric sensation all over. Now I can only smile seeing them. It’s probably not because of the amusing pretty lights. The thought of my childhood naiveté seem to amuse me that I almost wanted to feel the same thing but unfortunately my grown up body chose to act and feel nonchalant. Times change and people change too.
The bus we rode then took us to the Pasay station at 5 am where unfortunately I have to carry again my luggage which I firmly believe is twice heavier than me. I sat down at the waiting area and spent a few minutes scanning my environment, looking at people from different provinces and controlling anxiety, drowsiness and hunger. I saw this huge San Mig coffee ad in front of me and I couldn’t be more annoyed about the girl on it. Its relentless “Goodmorning sainyo” commercial was so, I don’t know, tacky and irrelevant that I won’t bother listening to it even if it costs me my life.
My “Uncle” Colin came and took me and my mom and brother to their place near the Manila Sanitarium. As you may have noticed I placed Uncle in quote marks. I don’t really address older relatives with uncle, auntie or lolo, lola unless they’re 10 years plus older than me. Since he’s only 23, calling him uncle I think would seem awkward. Well, to me. I’d rather call him kuya or something like that. Anyway, we arrived at their place where we met our relatives, ate breakfast and dozed off to dreamland.
Waking up past lunch time, we decided to go to Mall of Asia, which is typical for Manila first timers—Go to the nearest mall ASAP! We were accompanied by our two “Uncles”. As I mentioned earlier, they were too young to be called Uncle, so I’ll be putting quote marks on “Uncle” when I mention them in my blog every now and then. We gallivanted around MOA and it was the same unfortunate sensation of not being thrilled to enter a mall like I used to when I was younger. Plus it used to be larger the last time I went there.

***. .I LOVE GRAFFITI. . ***

Graffiti is ART--an art of genius jack asses who happen to have shit loads of fun and sarcasm. As much as some people find these fun-loving individuals annoying, I find them to be really hilarious.

I happen to stumble upon this website. If you're a jackass who needs some inspiration, take a hint from this site. Now in the meantime, since this is my blog, here are some of my favorite graffiti from this site.

You have successfully installed Windows 7, the latest version after reformatting your laptop to get rid of the trojans you got from surfing too much porn. Hurray. Now you simply have to take a picture but the webcam software you used from your recent Windows version does not seem to work. Yes it records video but when you play the recorded video, it's just green or black or nothing. You wonder maybe it was an outdated version incompatible with Windows 7 so you prod the net for a free webcam software that supports Windows 7 but you get nothing but threads containing the same rants you just made when you found out there's no free software download and the only free software you managed to download also did not work. Now how do you get your photo taken without switching back to other versions of Windows?
It's simple. I just discovered it this morning. No need to download any webcam software. You only need theYM webcam and the Snipping tool. Yes, this is rather tedious but hell yeah it works.
1. Open your Yahoo! Messenger and log in.
2. Click the Messenger option and choose My webcam. Your webcam would immediately pop out and you can stare at yourself the whole day or you can click the Start Menu at the bottom left portion of the screen.
3. Click the All Programs option, then Accessories and Click the Snipping tool.
4. Once the snipping tool application is opened, you can start posing in front of the webcam and each time you like an angle, you can click the New button from the Snipping tool box. The screen will freeze and you can create a box around your YM webcam photo, then snip.
5. Don't forget to save your photo. Unlike your ordinary webcam software that automatically saves whatever pictures you take, remember the Snipping tool is not a webcam software so you may have to save your photos each time you take one.
I hope this was helpful. If this isn't, you can simply re-install your Windows XP and ridicule me for being resourceful. Have a good day.

A subtitle is a transcribed dialogue of audio or video characters usually playing at the bottom of the screen along with the video. It helps viewers understand the message better especially at times when you really didn't get what the character is saying. With a subtitle, you just read the subtitle or hit the rewind then pause button to clarify instead of creating your own interpretations of what the character actually said. It also helps a lot especially with videos with which the language being spoken is foreign and quite unfamiliar to you. Plus to be more interesting, subtitles can also earn you some cold hard cash.

Writing subtitles is a handy skill for you to earn money either part time or full time, in an office or online. Movies as well as music videos and other media keep coming and the more people understand the context, with the helpful use of subtitles, the more information dissemination becomes effective. So, how do you make a video subtitle?
1. First download and install a subtitle writing software. I would recommend DivXLand Media Subtitler. You can download it free fromhttp://www.divxland.org/subtitler.php. It also comes with a .pdf guide to its features and a more thorough procedure on how to operate the software. Still, you might want to read a piece of my mind regarding the use of this software.
2. Once it's installed open the program. On the File menu, to open a video you wish to place a subtitle on, click Open video. Then browse on and choose that video and once you click Open, the video will appear on the media player ready to play.
3. For text or general formatting of your desired appearance of the subtitles, clickSettings then choose either Format Settings or General Settings. On the Format Settings, click SubStation Alpha and edit the font style, font color, borders, margins and alignment. The click OK.
4. Then click New Subtitle if you're just going to transcribe the conversations from the start. If you were to only edit some parts of the subtitle, click Open Text or Subtitle.
5. First thing to do is to listen, pause and type whatever dialogue you hear from the video. You can do this using the white space at the lower left side of the screen. Every phrase or sentence, you can press Ctrl + A so it automatically adds to the roster of phrases or short sentences called Caption, which you're going to sync with the video at a later part. Along with that, a dialogue box will open for you to key in the next set of captions for continuous conversation. Keep it short, each caption being within 1-10 words excluding "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" or "pneumoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis" or the likes of that. You can also use Notepad or Wordpad then copy paste the document into the synchronizing area at the left. Whatever works best for you.
Add captions below current caption or at the bottom of the roster by clicking Editthen Add Caption for the selection.
For music, overlapping voices or words that need emphasis, you may choose theFormat Menu or simply right-click on a caption you typed and choose eitherBoldItalic or Underline. This works for every single word within that caption and you cannot change only a portion of it, so you have to dissect the statements wisely.
If you like to add symbols or characters, take notes from this site.
6. Remember to edit or proofread your work. To edit, you can right-click on the caption and select Edit Caption or you can simply click the caption and edit the text from the white space. You can design a sentence to appear at the bottom center of the screen by applying breaks to the typed sentence using the Enter button or this character --> |. I don't know what you call that but you find that together with the backslash punctuation key just above the Enter key. This will most likely help prevent eye strain unlike with a long subtitle you have to read from the farthest left to the farthest right and lose focus on the video itself. Also, you don't have to be tense about grammar and punctuation etc... What matters most is you type verbatim what the characters say.
Example:
(From this) I want to introduce to you the man behind this company's success
(To this) I want to introduce to you the man
behind this company's success
To remove an erroneous caption, right-click and choose Remove Caption.
7. Once you've finished transcribing and proofreading your work, you may now proceed with Synchronizing the captions.
At the bottom of the player, there are three (3) Captioning Modes: Press and Hold, Manual and Preview. Click on Press and Hold. A dark blue area will appear on the bottom of the screen as you start playing. Now as the captioning mode Press and Hold says, you simply have to press Apply and hold to sync every caption with the video. Start with the first caption. Every time you lift your finger from that mouse, it will automatically take you to the next caption and with your next click, it will sync the 2nd caption with the video and you can do this for every caption until you finish the whole video. A delay or miss sync can be easily remedied by pausing the video, pressing rewind back to that missed part and continue pressing and holding until you finish the whole video.
Click on the Preview captioning mode in order to see your work. Edit and polish it to your heart's content.
8. Once you're done, click File then Save or Save as. You can save the file in a wide variety of file formats but I most recommend you choose .SRT or .SUB as subtitles with that file format are read in more media players.
In order to play the video with a subtitle, you must save both video and subtitle file in one folder and enable subtitles in your player settings.
Simple right?
Next step is adding this skill in your resume and getting a job. Congratulations!

We're currently on a clear out, anti-hoarding, poverty-induced garage sale and so I'm posting these items up for sale online. I have also posted these on eBay so check them out here.

So basically, I'm just reposting these stuff from eBay and some I once advertised in Facebook, all in hopeful attempts of getting buyers online.
