You have successfully installed Windows 7, the latest version after reformatting your laptop to get rid of the trojans you got from surfing too much porn. Hurray. Now you simply have to take a picture but the webcam software you used from your recent Windows version does not seem to work. Yes it records video but when you play the recorded video, it's just green or black or nothing. You wonder maybe it was an outdated version incompatible with Windows 7 so you prod the net for a free webcam software that supports Windows 7 but you get nothing but threads containing the same rants you just made when you found out there's no free software download and the only free software you managed to download also did not work. Now how do you get your photo taken without switching back to other versions of Windows?
It's simple. I just discovered it this morning. No need to download any webcam software. You only need theYM webcam and the Snipping tool. Yes, this is rather tedious but hell yeah it works.
1. Open your Yahoo! Messenger and log in.
2. Click the Messenger option and choose My webcam. Your webcam would immediately pop out and you can stare at yourself the whole day or you can click the Start Menu at the bottom left portion of the screen.
3. Click the All Programs option, then Accessories and Click the Snipping tool.
4. Once the snipping tool application is opened, you can start posing in front of the webcam and each time you like an angle, you can click the New button from the Snipping tool box. The screen will freeze and you can create a box around your YM webcam photo, then snip.
5. Don't forget to save your photo. Unlike your ordinary webcam software that automatically saves whatever pictures you take, remember the Snipping tool is not a webcam software so you may have to save your photos each time you take one.
I hope this was helpful. If this isn't, you can simply re-install your Windows XP and ridicule me for being resourceful. Have a good day.
