I'm a travel addict.
Although I haven't really done a lot of travelling myself, I can probably say I'm obsessed with going places I've never been to, not to mention getting lost at times, but heck that's what adventure's all about. Aside from taking a lot of pictures, I also like discovering different cultures. I can't be in one place all my life. There's  huge world to explore. And in fulfillment of my personal motto of enjoying life at its best, as much as possible I would like to travel around the world and create a room dedicated to my travel memoirs in my future house. Also, I'm dreaming of setting up a travel blog someday.

As I said I've only been to a few places so far, but I have done a lot of research with my future prospects, which I'd like to visit--ONCE I GET FINANCIALLY CAPABLE.

I have traveled around Luzon in my 2nd year of college. Thing is, because of my crazy curiosity about the world, and the social need to boast about going places, I tagged along with a bunch of lawyers and their kids, who I'm not very close with, but who were offering me an opportunity. Since I was like "Hell yeah. Free tour." I took the opportunity and didn't enjoy that much as I wished I would. Travelling with people you don't really know a lot is really, for the lack of a better word, boring. You can't say, "Wait! I like to take more pictures." or "Wait! I'd like to explore this place more." or "C'mon. This place ain't that amusing. I wanna eat." since I was just tagging along and I literally have no right to complain or what.

I want to go back to these places plus a whole lot more with my family, boyfriend and friends. There.

Before I start exploring the world, I would like to conquer my motherland, the Philippines. And here's my list of  places to explore before I turn 22.

Boracay
. .the ultimate beach paradise. .
. .the perfect laid back getaway. .

Bohol
. .i wanna taste the chocolate hills. .
. .and look the tarsier straight in the eye. .

. .cool and green. .
. .i have been here already but i haven't explored thoroughly. .

. .another cool and green highland experience. .
. .i wanna ride the cable car. .

. .yep I like beaches. .
. .awesome picture right there. .

I'm not obsessed with the Pretty Reckless.
I'm freakin' in love with this band. Can't help it. There's a pretty reckless girl inside me and this band just wanna make that girl raise her middle finger up high and just get on through life's shitty moments.
They're so f***ing awesome. Every song strikes deep. Here's my Top 3 Vids. Hope they make more.

KENTISH TOWN WALTZ by Imelda May

Do you remember we traipsed aroundFrom pub to pound shop through Kentish TownOnly a fiver to our nameThe drunk on the doorstep had more to our shameLiving over the offy had its trialsThe fights all night out there and insideAnd those stews that lasted three days into fourand those dreadful bailiffs return to our door
But we stuck with each other with all our mightWe pulled it together ans held on tightAnd I'm glad for us, yeah I'm glad mo chroiBut its nothing to anyone cept you and meThere are wrongs for every right, theres ups & theres downsBut you're the one for all my lifeMy true love I have found, yeah you my love I found
I watched the moon cover the might of the sunThat weird evening light at a quarter past oneAnd I knew in my head as you lay in our bedThat you'd stay in my heart till the day I was deadWe killed each other then loved in timeAnd laughed till we almost criedYeah we cried as well when it all went to hell[ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/kentish-town-waltz-lyrics-the-imelda-may-band.html ]And my heart it broke till I swear it died
But we stuck with each other with all our mightWe pulled it together ans held on tightAnd I'm glad for us, yeah I'm glad mo chroiBut its nothing to anyone cept you and meThere are wrongs for every right, theres ups & theres downsBut you're the one for all my lifeMy true love I have found, yeah you my love I found
Oh you're good at the things that I'm hopeless atAnd I noticed what you ignoreBut its when I see you're not perfect for meIts then I love you more & more....
And we stuck with each other with all our mightWe pulled it together ans held on tightAnd I'm glad for us, yeah I'm glad mo chroiBut its nothing to anyone cept you and meThere are wrongs for every right, theres ups & theres downsBut you're the one for all my lifeMy true love I have found, yeah you my love I foundOhhh There are wrongs for every right, theres ups & theres downsBut you're the one for all my lifeMy true love I have found, yeah you my love I found

Number ONE Tip I learned before trying to gallivant around Manila is first, to know that the fastest yet least convenient way(occasionally) to travel around this huge city is through the "Train" or the LRT/MRT and second, is to keep in mind, try to memorize and force down your hippocampus all the LRT/MRT stations, north bound and south bound.

LRT: Light Rail Transit
MRT: Metro Rail Transit
NORTH BOUND: Going up or right on the map.
SOUTH BOUND: Going down or left on the map.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN LRT AND AN MRT?
The obvious parameter to distinguish the difference between the two is that one is new and the other is old. An MRT is the one new line or series of train stations (the purple line going right and left on the map) and the LRT are the two old trains (the yellow and the blue lines on the map). According to some source the MRT is owned by a private company (Fil-Estate) while the LRTs are government owned. Based on service, both separates the women, children, disabled and senior citizens from the rest of the passengers (err males, duh?!) on the first car of the train. Unfortunately both trains are prone to overloading especially 7am-12n-7pm where passenger number peaks so you need to squeeze in quickly while loading and run to the nearest seat or handrail unless you want to strain your legs trying to balance yourself against the train's force on acceleration and deceleration.

It's highly recommended you consult Google Maps if you're going somewhere. It would be really helpful, say if you are familiar with the train stations, to locate and get to the place you'd like to go to instead of trusting taxi or FX drivers to lead you the way because we all know what kinds of shitty things happen with ignorant passengers and opportunist drivers. We could probably enumerate a lot of instances where the meter runs too fast, the driver doesn't know where he's going, he takes you around the whole city when you're only bound for somewhere just a block away to increase meter. Plus you won't really learn how to go around the huge city if you depend on taxis and FXs.

A few tips concerning riding the train, which I learned the hard way are:
1. Buy STORED VALUE TICKETS if you think you'll be using the train for quite a while. This helps you avoid the long wait in line for single journey tickets every time.
2. Pace faster. If you're slow, you may have to ride the next train or get stuck trying to fit in the overloaded train. Thus the time hassle.
3. To the ladies, please NO HEELS. You may injure yourself or someone else.
4. Work out. Get fit. You don't want to be pushed out of the overloaded train so FIGHT you way in!
5. Follow the flow. There's an entrance and an exit to the train, whether via stairs, escalator or elevator. Where people go in and go out is usually the way to go so your ignorance won't be obvious.
6. Don't always follow the flow. READ SIGNS. It's placed everywhere for your reference. Especially for north bound or south bound access, which is usually either on the left or right flight of stairs, most people tend to ride the wrong train that takes them farther away from their destination. I was one of them.
7. If you have not memorized all the stations, refer to your tickets. At the back of your ticket lies a plot of train stations for that particular line.

Riding the LRT/MRT can be both a hassle and a convenient transportation option.
Sooner or later, you'll be dreaming and working harder to get a car.

This won't be another Manila write-up.

Seriously, going to Manila made me say like "I'm gonna write and publish something that happens to me every day". There were times when I said "Oh my gosh I just had a great day" or "This day sucks" and made me want to write about it and publish it online. And now what. Congratulations Eleigh, you have successfully written only ONE!!! Your blog is currently infested with cobwebs and a roaring silence. Why haven't you written anything? It's been a month!!!

Pardon me, but that's my AlterEgo Number 1, McNagger. I have a lot of other alter egos and you'll get to meet them someday probably in one of my future blogs. Relax, I'm no psycho. I like talking to myself like most people do when you're in front of the laptop writing a blog.

I guess that's what I needed. A little nagging for not documenting important stuff.

Okay, so here goes. A little bit of everything from Day 2 to whatever day I get to.

Enjoy?
